Colour only
If the concern is the colour of healthy natural teeth, whitening may avoid covering the tooth. Existing restorations will not whiten and may need separate planning.

Veneer consultation in English
Veneers can change the colour, shape or surface of selected front teeth. Before treatment, we compare composite and ceramic veneers with whitening, orthodontics and crowns so you can understand how each option affects the tooth.
The booking form is in Japanese. If you need help choosing a service or arranging English support, please message us on LINE.

Your treatment options
Colour, shape, position and damage can appear similar in a photograph but require different solutions.

If the concern is the colour of healthy natural teeth, whitening may avoid covering the tooth. Existing restorations will not whiten and may need separate planning.
02
A veneer changes the surface but does not move the root. Orthodontics may better address crowding, crossbite or position when the bite is the main issue.
03
When much of the tooth is already restored or weakened, a crown or another restorative plan may provide more appropriate coverage than a veneer.
Treatment options
Material, repairability, colour stability, preparation and expected load are considered for each tooth.
A tooth-coloured resin is applied directly to change the visible contour. It may be repairable but can stain, wear or chip over time.
One tooth is ¥93,500 including the procedure fee.
A laboratory-made ceramic shell is bonded to the front surface. Tooth preparation may be required depending on position, colour and the desired shape.
One tooth is ¥137,500 including the procedure fee.
A layered ceramic option that may be considered when the planned colour and translucency call for it.
From ¥213,500 for one tooth including the set fee.
These options can change colour or position without covering the same tooth surface. They may be used instead of, before or alongside restorative treatment.
After your examination, we will explain the recommended option, total fee and expected schedule before you decide.

Examination and treatment planning
A close-up smile image is not enough to judge preparation or longevity. The enamel, bite, gum line and movement of the lips all affect the plan.
What to expect
Step 1
We identify whether colour, shape, position, damage or several factors are driving the request.
Step 2
The effect on tooth structure, expected appearance, time, fee and risks of veneers, whitening, orthodontics or crowns are discussed.
Step 3
When a ceramic veneer is selected, the tooth is prepared as required and the restoration is checked before final bonding.
Step 4
The veneer is bonded, the bite is checked and cleaning or bite protection is reviewed.

Amounts include tax. Self-pay care is not covered by Japanese public health insurance. When insured care may apply, eligibility and cost depend on the diagnosis and your insurance status.

Veneer and restorative planning
Dr. Ryosuke Murai contributes a prosthodontic perspective to selected veneer and restorative plans. We assess whether a surface restoration suits the tooth and how it will relate to adjacent teeth and the bite. Another dentist may carry out the examination or treatment.
The dentist who provides each part of your care may vary with the treatment and appointment schedule. We will explain who will be involved before treatment begins.
Frequently asked questions
Sometimes little or no preparation is possible, but not for every tooth. Position, colour, enamel and the planned contour determine whether reduction is needed.
Whitening may be discussed first when you want the surrounding natural teeth lighter, because ceramic and composite restorations do not whiten later.
They can change the visible contour but do not move roots or correct the underlying bite. Orthodontics may be more appropriate when tooth position is the main issue.
There is no fixed number. Tooth display, symmetry, smile width, colour and the goal are assessed before a multi-tooth plan is proposed.
Yes. Detachment, chipping and fracture are possible. Bonding conditions, bite forces and habits are assessed, and maintenance remains important.
